This class is for all types of officers, investigators and analysts who want to use cutting edge techniques, technology and intelligence resources to advance their cases. While the course focuses on investigations with a drug nexus, all methods covered can be used (and should be used) in practically all types of cases, as they can be equally effective. Thus, any type of officer is encouraged to attend. Prior course reviews include:
Topics covered will include:
Proactive investigation methods, telephone exploitation techniques (to include obtaining records, analysis, mapping, deconfliction, and utilizing pens/pings), advanced LPR methods, wiretaps, intelligence development & tracking, & investigating targets when you do not have an informant. Case studies will be presented highlighting these techniques in practice.
