Class Description
This two-day course is designed for task force commanders, supervisors, and emerging leaders serving in specialized units and multi-agency environments. Rather than focusing on operational procedures, the course examines the leadership side of specialized enforcement units—managing people, building trust across agencies, navigating organizational and political pressures, developing teams, and leading effectively in complex environments. Through practical examples, case studies, exercises, and discussion, participants will explore decision-making, organizational culture, accountability, risk management, strategic thinking, team dynamics, and leader wellness.
Drawing on more than four decades of law enforcement and public service experience, Bryan Lockerby guides participants through the leadership challenges associated with specialized units and multi-agency task forces. His experience includes leading investigative programs at the local, state, and regional levels, serving as Administrator of the Montana Division of Criminal Investigation, Chair of the Rocky Mountain HIDTA Executive Board, and Chair of the Rocky Mountain Information Network (RMIN).
