Class Description
This course is designed for new and experienced law enforcement officers who have the need to learn how to develop, manage and control drug, gang, terrorist, or other criminal informants by using best practices, lessons learned in the field, and innovative methodologies.
Students will learn to adhere to common sense, safety, and legal guidelines while identifying and overcoming problems associated with informants. A review and recommendation for model policies and procedures governing the utilization of informants will be discussed. Students will be immersed in several challenging practical exercises to help master effective skills needed for managing informants, especially in difficult situations.
