In modern day law enforcement, few criminal enterprises in the United States are free from the impact of transnational organized crime. Criminal activities including kidnapping, drug distribution, and large-scale fraud are often the work of large, multi-national organizations. Students of this specialized course will learn to:
- Recognize the presence of transnational organized crime groups
- Understand common criminal enterprises of these organizations
- Identify criminal organizations such as Mexican Cartels, Eastern European Organized Crime Groups, and other significant crime groups from around the world
- Properly document, classify, and investigate these groups and their activities
The information contained in this course is designed to enhance the effectiveness of anyone in the law enforcement community. Patrol officers, detectives, correctional officers, intelligence analysts, parole and probation officers, and prosecutors will benefit from this training.
