WRCTC Introduction to Communication Technology for Law Enforcement

This course introduces students to the basic theory of communication technology. This course uses lecture to describe cellphone communication architecture, cellphone geolocation, satellite phones, various types of radios, online communication, and strategies and tips in analyzing communication. Upon course completion, students will have a better understanding of how different types of communication technology work and some ideas for improving their performance as a law enforcement officer when handling communication devices.
